Was thinking about replaceing my 17" monitor with a LED flat screen. Does anyone have any ideas on how I can get the most bang for the buck????

Love my NEC  Multisync LCD 17"  1760v.  works great in AH, xcept hard to see in very dark time of AH night, but i dont mess with gama  to make up for it like alot do.  this 17" viewable screen is
as big as my old 19" CRT Viewsonic.

id say 17" gona be ur best bang for $$ any bigger and u up
$$$s alot.

With LCD screens, don't be afraid to get two.

LCD's tend to have ghosting problems (you see an afterimage when there is fast movement), especially in gaming.

Should not be a problem in AH.

Dell FP is a good choice for LCD.

I got a 19" Realsync for about $500.  ghosting was evidnet with my ti4600 video card but I don't see it with my Radeon 9800.

ghosting may be a funtion of the card as much as the screen.

I've had my 17" viewsonic for a bit over 2 years now.  I've seen none of the ghosting I've heard of and so far no blown pixles like I've seen on a few lap-top screens.  so far I'm really happy with it. I'm limited to a 75hz refresh rate @ 1280x1024, but really my eyes can't see any difference between 75 fps and anything higher.

I think I payed about $750 when I bought it, but I saw the same one for about $240 6 or 7 months ago.

btw- the lack of reflection on the screen from lamps or open curtains is worth the extra money all on it's own
