When sending in for MA in the mail, does HTC take cash, or does it have to be paid in check?

probably not, just take the cash and get a money order.

Leaving for work now, and Im sending this subscription in the mail on the way. I am not going to have time to stop and get money order so hopefully I they take it, and I want it there in time so I can start playing next week.

never wise to send cash thru the mail... money order is the way to go... hell, it'd cost like a buck fifty or so...
