Really weird stuff at 15 tonight
« on: June 27, 2001, 02:11:00 AM »
I saw (and others confirmed) fighters spawning out of hangars that had been destroyed.  I don't mean the hangar was destroyed with the fighter in it, rather, a fighter spawning from a hangar that had been previously destroyed.

Weird!

Were all the fighter hangars down? If they werent, then the fighters were still available, as you know.

The hangar spawn point is inside one specific hangar, thats the way the AH world works. Even if that hangar gets destroyed, the planes will still spawn inside it.

The spawn point doesnt move to the next intact hangar.  Is that what you were wondering?

Camo, I thought all hangars were down, but I'll bet they weren't.  I didn't know the spawn point could be inside a destroyed hangar (if there is a hangar up.)

Thanks,

I find it easier to spot a fighter spawning from a destroyed hangar.  An active hangar completely obscures the fighter... a destroyed one only partially obscures it.

I've also noticed that most pilots don't think to look at the destroyed hangar... so during any vulch fest, I have the pick of the crop when it comes to destroyed hangar spawning :D

Last time I rolled from a destroyed hangar I fell through it (yes, below ground) and died a horrible death.  :)

only reason I can thnk of spawning in any hanger would be to save the beer that would be in the cooler.

No, Tuomio, I knew there was no cheating involved.  I knew the guys who were spawning and didn't think about cheating for a second.

Instead, I thought maybe the terrain had a problem.  Have you ever landed a goon at V6?
Heh, come in a little high and ease down gently.  You'll be parked in the air.  :)
