Remember Dragon's Lair?

..the early laser-disc video games?

I also recall Space Ace

There were a few animated games out at that time...one was a chopper/gunship one.

Anyone recall the name?

I think your talking about "Cliff Hanger"

Not positive though...

Do a google query on "dragons lair" "space ace" "laserdisc video games" and see what comes up pretty popular..

enjoy..

You can buy Dragon's Lair, Space Ace, & Dragon's Lair 2 all on one dvd for like $30.  You play using the dvd remote.

I haven't gotten it, but I've been meaning to.

I had it for my Atari Jaguar years ago, played great...its a game that's all about the right input every 1 second or so.

But that chopper game was cool, chasing stuff down streets and stuff

Quite a few of these old games used the large laser disc players.  There is some emulator software out there (free) that can play these on the PC.

I've found a great deal of info, one of the bigger challenges in finding, or restoring, these arcade games (if you go that route) is the monitors..they are RGB.  They detail how to convert a tv to serve the function...pretty amazing stuff.

I found all the video clips of Dragon's Lair and condensed them into one four minute video here   I always wondered how to get around that dang black knight!  Its 3mb and I used a lower quality to keep the size down (100mbit)
