1. Don't want to get vulched, dont attempt to depart a capped base.
2. Looking to "go hunting", dont depart a capped base.
3. Looking for a furball, or a simple dogfight, go to the MA or TA.
4. Don't want to get gang banged, stay out of a furball, don't attack a squadron formation alone, remain clear of bad guys base.
5. Don't want to get HOed, avoid with evasive mauever.
6. Don't like getting killed by manned ack, remain clear of base.
7. Dont like getting killed by ship gunner, remain clear of Fleet.
8. Don't like getting killed by jet dweebs, check your six frequently.
9.Don't like base captures, refer to this thread: Base Capture
10. Don't like any of the above, get a new hobby!
