i may be wrong, but i think the chog initionally was not perked when it entered the game. that would explain why it does not have a unique perk id

i think icons should be like this



if its a TA152 then its just a other version of a 190 so thats what the icon should say

if its a F4U4 then it should just be F4U

if its a SPIT14 then it should be a SPIT

i feel if its just a other version of a plane then the icon should be the same

but if its a ME262 or ME163 then thats what it is going to say
known as Arctic in the main

I agree the spit 14 and chog should have just f4u or spit tag on them .
the rest can stay the same .

I'd like to go back to everything unperked, but either way I agree with the various proposals to identify only the basic plane at distance (e.g., P-51), and only much closer add the variation (e.g., P-51D).    

Both perked and unperked should be treated the same.  Perks have enough advantages without giving them another in stealth identification.
