P51D Chequer tail turns red...

Using the custom skin with the yellow/black chequer paint the Rudder of the P51D turns Red (old P51 skin) at far ranges. I've only seen it happen at more than 1000 yards but it happens every time.

Using Radeon 9700 pro with Cataclyst 3.1 drivers.

sounds like an LOD switch in the 3d model.
