level the playing field

as a new player to the game i dont understand the rules to switching countries........
but have a few cocerns about how it is handled

1. how does Ah place new players at random or to the country with the fewest players

2. Seen an entire squad of 22 players switch side

3. and last sunday totals at 8pm est rooks 290  knights 190 bishops 210 ....... which really doesnt make it a level or even close to level playing field

4. so i was wondering if there was a way to find out the total number of registered players for each team

5. does Ah have anything planned to change this?

6. or being new should i just shut up ........ or are my concern valid

Once upon a time the Rooks were almost always outnumbered. In order to get anything done, they started having getting their active squadrons together on Sunday nights for "Rook Joint Operations"

Nowadays, Rooks seem to have as many or more people than the other sides, and when RJO hits, the numbers go off the charts.  So, long story short (too late!) Sundays aren't typical for rook numbers

Don't think for one minute there are any other "rules" about switching sides aside from a time limit between defection.

You can choose to fly however you want, and don't let any other player dictate how you spend your time.  

And if anyone gives you crap about "having no honor" needs to be tied up and returned to the clinic... and possibly beaten with a very large stick.

Skev, some rooks, including myself, usually switch sides on Sundays.  Back during the time when rooks were badly outnumbered, the Sunday night RJO was great.  It's outlived it's usefulness but sort of lingers on.  Numbers are pretty close other nights.

Just a side note, we don't necessarily have RJO every Sunday, or even on Sunday at all anymore, the last one we had was Saturday night. We used to when we were vastly outnumbered 24/7, as a result alot of squadrons made Sunday their squadnight. I think most of what you are seeing on Sunday is alot of our bigger squadron's squadnights for the most part. We actually only have RJO a couple times a month. I think most of us just designated Sunday our "Fly" night.

Having vast numbers is not really a good thing, hard to find kills if you don't like vulching or "Fighting over the same chicken bone". I'd rather be on the outnumbered team, all things considered.

1. I don't know. Seems like it's always bish.

2. Squadron always change sides together - no point in having half the squad in one country and the rest in another. There are some one country squads and some that rotate.

3. happens.

4. players are not "registered" to any country. you are allowed to switch freely.

5. HTC added a perk multiplyer. This makes flying in the lowest number country more prefered perk-wise. You gain more perks and perk rides cost less. I've seen times when a Temp cost 18 perks. you can see the perk multiplyer in the hangar above your total perks.

6. your concerns are valid, fly for who ever you want and scr3w the others. Just mind you that it's more fun to fly for the underdog unless competing for vulches is your thrill.
