Sex and the City Ending?
« on: February 15, 2004, 09:08:35 PM »
Ok, at the risk of being ridiculed my entire life, and as a continuing Valentines Day favor, I am posting here to see if anyone saw the ending of Sex and the City tonight. Our TIVO cut the last few minutes off. We saw up until the point where Big was asking the girls for advice, and he said something along the lines of should I stay or should I go?

Anyone? Come on ... fess up and share! Thanks :)

The ending was a real stunner.  If you noticed, the last half of the episode, there were those occasional snowflakes outside.  It was really subtle, but my wife pointed it out.  Right after that, you see that it's snowing pretty hard, and the camera pulls backwards out the window, away from the apartment building, up into the sky (it was a beautiful shot, it pulled back until you could see all of New York) until suddenly it pulled out far enough that you could see it was just a snowglobe with Manhatten in it.  It zoomed out further, and there was an autistic child holding the snowglobe.  It was pretty fascinating, they were saying that the whole series took place in the autistic childs imagination.

SatC ending. Who cares ?

Except I think SatC would work even better than rock music on the Talibans (which the US has used).

Actually the last episode is next week. Big said that if She was truly happy in Paris, he'd disappear from her life forever as he'd not want to ruin it for her. Miranda told him "Go get our girl back"

My wife is a real fan of the show, once in awhile i'll watch with her.
Men fear thought as they fear nothing else on earth -- more than ruin -- more even than death.... Thought is subversive and revolutionary, destructive and terrible, thought is merciless to privilege, established institutions, and comfortable habit. ... Bertrand Russell

It's a chick show dude.  Anybody without a vagina would have watched one episode on fast forward, concluded that there were no boobies and that the title was false advertising, and never watched it again.
