A Squaddie of mine also tried GIMP and said it's too piecemeal and hard to follow. My suggestion, d/l a 30-day free trial of Photoshop or Paintshop and skin away. If after 30 days your not burnt out on skinning, plop down $70 and buy one of these two graphics editors
