The Australian Spirit Society held a meeting in Canberra to discuss ghostly phenomena. The meeting was very well attended, with people standing at the back of the packed hall, listening to the main speaker expounding on his, and other's experiences with ghosts.
At the end of the meeting he said that he would like to carry out an informal poll to see how many people had similar experiences. He asked everyone to stand up initially and then said that those who had no experience with ghosts should sit down. About a quarter of the audience did so.
Then he asked those who had seen ghosts, but who had not had any other interaction with them to sit. Most of the people sat down, leaving a handful dotted about the hall.
The speaker said that this was a normal number in his experience but said that there was a very special, and small, group of people who had sexual activities with ghosts and asked if anyone had been in this position.
All the remaining people who were standing sat down, except for a man right at the back of the hall.
The speaker became very excited at this and called out to the man, asking him if he really had sexual intercourse with a ghost. When the reply was in the affirmative, he asked the man to join him on stage.
Up came this fair dinkum Aussie, clearly from the outback.
"Well," said the speaker, "Can you share with us your experiences, please. Where did these sexual encounters with the ghosts take place?"
"Jeez," said the bloke, "I thought you said GOATS."
