You just note what speed it use as best climb speed before you start to type you own .speed xxx (and maybe write this one down somewhere for each plane).
Note that its only the best climb speed at SL that is as each planes 'default' . The plane's BCS may change as it gains height, but the default climb speed will remain. When starting new sortie the speed-command will be reset.
Hope that came out somewhat clear.
Pilot score are divided into two types; Fighters and Bombers. Vehicles are considered Bombers as well.
I guess the ammount of fighter/bomber kills and assists are pretty selfexplaining.
Now we look at the fighter score:
For every bullet you make hit the enemy you will recieve a score for thise depending on the ammount of damage. At the end of the mission the score you collected in the sortie will be multiplied depending on how your sortie ended. Landed is 100% score and the rest will be a fraction of this. I don't know the exact mulitplier, but just the cronology of them which is: Landed, Ditched, bailed, captured, death.
The last 3 results will be counted as a death, when calculating the kills per death rate showed further down (=kills/(Bails+Captures+deaths+1))
When doing ground attack in fighter you gain bomber score tho, and it won't count as hits either for when calculating you hit%.
Bombers gain point for damaging ground targets. They have 'plane damage' which is the ammount of damaged inflicted on enemy attackers, but this score is of no importance when calculating your ranks.
Those ranks are a simple comparison of all players in the current tour. So if you have done no base captures with a c47 or M3 you will be placed last in that catagory (about 1400 depending on how long the tour has lasted).
The overall rank is found by adding all your ranks. The one with the lowest overall number will have an overall rank of 1. As you may can see this will require succesful flying time in both fighters, bombers and troop carriers (C47/M3)
Well thats basically how the score works. some care about it, some don't. I myself like to have a look at them from time to time, but its in no way an obsession.
