X-45 and CH pedals
« on: March 03, 2004, 06:33:23 AM »
Just got my new CH pro usb pedals in, and after the initial elation of opening the box I've begun the nightmarish problem of trying to get the things to work simultaneously with my saitek x-45 usb stick. Windows XP seems to want to assign the pedals as my primary controller and I haveen't been able to influence it with the "preferred controller" option.

Anyway, relating to AH, I can't get everything configured because the game won't recognize inputs from the x-45 stick while the pedals are plugged in. The game recognizes that both devices are present tho because I can select them both in the joystick config screen. Wierd huh? I tried unplugging and configuring them separately which I thought was going to work, but once they are both plugged in again it's back to the same problem. I also tried switching the devices around between different usb ports hoping I'd get lucky.

I'm running into this or very similar problems in all my flight sims. Called tech support from both companies and they basically told me in both cases to call the *other* device manufacturer.

Anyway, hope someone out there has some kind of solution they can share. Thanks in advance for reading this drivel.

Search in here & hardware/sortware going back a year for X45 threads.

Your NOT the first to have this problem.

I know there is a solution out there, just don't know what it is.

no problem here with that setup
do you mean the usb pedals are listed at the top in the game controller window?

if so, so is mine and I have no problem

you may want to download the ch manager from the CH Products site. It is like a controller for the usb peds
you can find it here

I have a X45 profile that is setup for peds. You can d/l from here

as for AH config, inside AH joystick setup- you have to assign first all inputs to the X45 then assign only the rudder axis (z i think) to the peds. then calibrate and you should be good to go..
