I noticed on the clipboard map that you added nice strings of atolls to block the possible CV hiding areas .... very nice. Hopefully this should somewhat force all CVs into action.

I keep getting a 'CRC files failed to install' every time I try and install it. Tried downloading it again, but same problem - any ideas, or is it me ?

Festers attention to detail is AWESOME.

While they may have been moved from there historic locations for gameplay.

All of the main pacific islands are there.
Pearl Harbour, Midway, Iwo Jima, New Gunea, you name it.  You MUST fly over 131 & see what he's done with PH.

Its great to see a great stick giving something back to the community. And dare I say Fester has turned into a nicer guy?  I don't see the frustration coming over chan 1 like I used to. Good stuff Fester.

Ok, Pearl is there but I'm having trouble spotting the others.  Can you give the coordinates?

Also, I think its New Guinea but I'm too lazy to go look it up myself.

iwo jima (complete with mount suribachi, a vfield in the historic beach assault shoreline and a historically accurate airfield) is in sector 9,15

guadalcanal & henderson field is in sector 5,4

mindnao is in sector 7,3

rabaul is in sector 2,9

port moresby new guinea is in sector 10,16

tinian is in sector 13,6

saipan is in sector 14,8

borneo is in sector 14,15

luzon is in sector 17,10

smaller phillipines islands rearanged in sector 14,2

tasmania is in sector 12,15

marcus island in sector 7,10.3

midway island in sector 8,7

oahu and pearl harbor in sector 10,7

and theres many others but i will let you identify the rest :)

That's BIGNUMBER,littlenumber format, right?   Some of the coordinates seem to be either landlocked.  Borneo looks like empty space of ocean.  :confused:

typo on borneo

yes big number little number grid references

the coordinates are for the center of the landmass or island

some of them are much larger than 1 sector

because its not a 512 map

its a medium sized map

neither 512 nor 256

trust me this is a ver good thing to not use the whole 512 area.

you might not know this but even the 256 maps are 512 maps just the clipboard shows 256 instead of 512 area
