Wtf No M16

WTF
why not just disable all gv's for the axsis I'm sure in 44 the germans had quad 50's
:mad:Möbelwagen: In September 1943, Hitler approved the Flakpanzer IV AA with 37 mm twin AA guns which he saw a demonstration of on May 14, 1943. Böhmisch-Mährisch of Prague received the contract for 150 vehicles.
3.7 cm FlaK 43 L/60 mounted on an unaltered PzKpfw IV Ausf H & J chassis. The 4 box sides could be let down horizontally to allow for firing. When these were down the crew was completely exposed and with the height of the vehicle it left the crew in a rather exposed position. The rpm of the engine was raised to 2,800, which produced 272 hp.
Issued to Flugabwehrzüge (AA platoons) of Panzer regiments.
A 20 mm version was shown to Hitler in October 1943, but he refused permission to produce it.

Wirbelwind:

In December 1943 the first model appeared. It was on an unaltered PzKpfw IV chassis with a 16 mm all around turret. Ostbau of Sagan in Silesia produced the vehicles.
Issued to Flugabwehrzüge (AA platoons) of Panzer regiments. http://www.wwiivehicles.com/html/germany/flakpanzer.html

OK, you guys can have the M16, but the UK had a self propelled 40mm Bofors AA gun on an old Cruiser MkI chassis, (and it was widely used) so that means the Allies get the Osti too. Cuts both ways.

Utilizing this same logic ... there goes your M3 too. :aok

You've got the better end of the stick in AAA vehicles, Storch. It's not the staff's fault that you suck more in one than the other. For all your comrades it may help make up for not having the goon available to take England with.

Yup .... and when HTC models the Sherman then the Allied players will gladly take it up against the uber-panzer. T-34s on the Eastern front. Until then we're all stuck with Allied driving panzers. Mien Gott! :D

Why does your finding a website that has a pic of a German vehicle that looks like anything equate to the be all/end all justification of you and Storch getting M-16s? Hell .... the Allies appear to be up to the task of having the lesser of the two aaa vehicles. Why do you want it? :lol

Soulys went with what is more Allied and what is more Axis, the Mobelwagen is nothing like an M16, the POS that it is (the M16), and the Germans are well represented by the Osty, and the Allies are well represented by the M16...the POS that it is:) A Quad 50 is in no way at all like any of the Quad 20 mm mounts except in the number of guns present.

No. Did you even bother to read why?

Hell ... if it's so bloody all-fired important to ya I'll endorse it too.

Give the axis the U.S. quad .50 M-16! Throw `em a frickin' bone.

Oh hell .... just give them all the GVs and just leave us the M3.

I think we had a vehicle that looked like the M3.

:aok

OK, I thought this was simple but I guess not.

For those that dont know, AH does not have every plane or vehicle ever used by both sides, as a result we have to substitute some aircraft or GV's as needed. The Germans had an M3 equivelent so therefore they get to use the M3. Similarly the Sherman, while FAR inferior to the Panzer, must be substituted with it. The Germans had armoured cars, but AH doesnt have them so they get to use the M8. The Germans had Ju52's but AH doesnt have that so they get to used the C47 instead (I know, I know, not in this set, thats a separate issue). Since both the M16 and Osti serve indetical roles (regardless of performance differences) an so they are not ABSOLUTELY necessary to both sides as long as each has one to have some vehicle AA support.

Soulyss chose, in this case where both sides DO have their proper model of AA vehicle, to limit each side to what they actually had. Is that not crysal clear? Who could argue with that except from a point of bias to one side or the other? Why am I having to explain this to people who ALREADY KNOW THE ANSWER[/b]?
