It depends a little on how "smallest" is defined. One contender is:

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Westland Whirlwind
Year: 1940 Crew: 1 Engines: 2 * 660kW Rolls-Royce Peregrine I V12s

**********************************************
Wing Span: 13.72m Length: 9.98m Height: 3.53m
***********************************************

Empty Weight: 3769kg Max. Weight: 5165kg
Speed: 580km/h Ceiling: 9100m Range: 1300km
Armament: 4*20mm + 454kg bombs

There's also the Cessna UC-78 Bobcat, light transport.
Snefens, Lentolaivue 34.
Location: Aarhus, Denmark

they're close
the whirlwind has smaller wingspan but it is longer and taller.
empty weight is smaller but max weight is bigger.
