Well I know that Coke or Dr Pepper will either stop or slow down the reaction of concrete hardening. It all has to do with the sugar in the drink mix. I am not sure on the how but I know some guys who carry several 2 liter bottles of the stuff in there concrete pump trucks and use it to slow the reaction catalyst in case the mixer trucks are slow getting to the job on a very hot day and they have to wait.

Its a hell of a lot cheaper than paying $7k-$10k for the pipes and elbows that I sell to these guys.

BTW there are only three soft drinks I will drink. Coca-Cola (for all you yankees we in the south only refer to it and all other sodas as Coke) Dr Pepper and Diet Dr Pepper.

Oh and congrats Nef....you bastage! :D

The few times I tried beer as a young adult it invariably made me hurl.  Left one whale of an after-taste let me tell ya!  Now I stick to diet Coke.

When I was in college, I dated a girl whose job it was to go to grocery stores and place the prize winning bottles.  They had a well thought out system to ensure that the prizes were won across the board by everyone, but we just followed her and bought the drinks she messed with(she never did know that we did this, BTW).  We lived for an entire summer off of the grocery promotion under those bottle caps, and I became a Pepsi drinker to boot!
