That mission was a big hit on the server.  Had a lanc kill show 30 seconds after I hit it.

I kinda thought this was discussed some time ago.. about the same time invisible troops and high alt drops were being discussed.

Hmmmmm.

Yeah... but... After the absolute shellacking the Knits have taken for the last few days, I don't blame 'em at all for having a little fun. Wish I was there to see it.

Anyone know about the plane limit question?

I see I've been missing all the fun.
That's an awful lot of drunks to find whisky for  . No wonder the server had trouble.

I was on the ground, defending in a panzer, when I looked behind me and saw this going on... one of the coolest things I've seen in this game in a long time! I just stopped and watched.

Nash,

During HS I think HiTech said that there was no "finite" limit on the number of things the FE can display.  It's just a matter of load on the server and the network connection.  It also matters how close those things are, as they are updated faster if they are closer to you.  Obviously, the FE is capable of showing a lot more than 30 "things".  I wonder what the enemy saw?

I chased an FW over that lot.. as i got closer I looked down.........

Big mistake....my FR went down from 50 odd to 6! There was certainly a limit on what this FE could take.

In the hope that everyone sufferred similarly I actually dived thru it later to escape an otherwise terminal situation......... and lost them in the screen stutter.

Later the arena (/net) lag was shockingly high (and erratic) I wondered just how many little drunks the server was trying to guide to various map rooms.........

Not sure, we did this run 3 times over 3 hours, as to include everyone in Knitland, only once did the server get like that..so it was basically fine the other two runs.

1st run: 175 flyers on: 25 goons with 250 drunks in the air.  No server probs.

2nd run:164 flyers on: 24 goons with 240 drunks in the air. No server probs.

3rd run: 181 flyers on: 27 goons with 270 drunks in the air.  Text lag, server lag at my FE was about 10 sec.  I re-logged, 1 min later, everything cleared up.
