Well, I don't think you could pork one side into oblivion in AW. Logged on knights have 3 bases all porked to 25%. Log  off - have fun. Bombing should be part of the game not all of the game - just my opinion. I don't care - it keeps me from getting too addicted :) Maybe the idea of winning the war will be junked in AH2 and there will be a limit to the advantage suicide porking can bring. Just hoping. It would be nice to log on and play instead of see it night or seeing you have no base to fly from. Not everyone has 12 hours to wait for conditions to change.

HTC was on the one lone map for many many tours in a row.  I forget when they implemented a rotating map.

Yea ya could. in fact I remember one time and I beleive the only time Bz totally wiped cz completely off the map

When I first started in Aw you could pork and kill  the bases but not capture em.
Then after a while they added a capture feature.
Then they added fightertowns to the maps, which was a section with feilds in the center of the map that could not be captured.

But bases could always be porked and often were.
Same as here

Oh yes you could.  In AW4W, the Czlanders used to hold a bi-weekly country ops night and we'd close down every base in Az and Bzland.  We even did it to the FR guys once just to hear them squeal .  You were also able to do the same thing in AW3/MV until they tried to make it that you couldn't take the main bases.  But someone figured out that if you drop 60 drunks in 5 minutes, you could capture the main bases.  Closed down Bzland a few times doing this on the Med. Euro map.

Back in the DOS Air Warrior days, after they went to the expanded 'Europe' and 'Pacific' terrains, Cland almost managed to completely shut down Bland.

It was back when all you had to do to close a field was lay a dozen eggs on the runway. We planned a time-on-target assault that was to drop on every single field in Bland within a couple minutes of the same time... and would have made it except that a 109 got past the two planes escorting me and got both my right engines right before my drop on the field in the extreme SE corner of Bland, and I only got eleven eggs on the runway. Still, it had them restricted to upping from that one[/u] field until the other uncapturable fields came back... Lordy, they were pissed...  :D

If your not willing to try to patrol the airspace surrounding your  feilds against attack then ya shouldnt whine when it gets porked cause the only people there are to blame are the ones you see in your own mirror.
But..
They could reduce alot of baseporking if they gave people something better to bomb. and something more direly neeeded.
Like a Spit factory.
Entirely TOO many spits flying these days
Its getting to the point where they might as well rename the game "Spitfires high"

Bet if there was a spit factory to bomb it would be more eagerly attacked and defended then  bases or even HQ.

Reason being that if denied spitfires half the arena would probably  have to log off due to inability to fly anything else.

Dred, ive been advocating a LA7/'dweeb plane' factory for some time now, i do 17 runs a lot, and if one of them existed, id hit the fediddlein thing 2-3x a day---mebbe the thing bein down would mean la7's /spit9's would require 15-20 perks?
