It would be interesting to see first person stuff brought into AH2.

Can you imagine people vulching with grenades? Or shooting at planes taking off with their 45's?

AH2 is going to be a whole new game all together. One which when it comes out alot of people are going to be grounded due to the demand of a very up to date system.

I am nearly done building my new system that was based around playing AH2 and other on line games that require a much better system than what I have already. $2000 or so later and Im nearly done. This is the most expencive game I've ever gotten into. But being the on line drug that it is I cant just stop playing;)

if were going to be talking about troops this is what i want

a base would have defence troops around it and evertime you shot 1 you hear a PING

tho i realy dont see anything wrong with moving the game more into the ground

maybe you could have a fleet like of tanks and you control it like you do with cv's

now you got a real ground front

I think HTC is either A} gonna pull thier heads out and make one hell of a WWII sim, with features no one else has, before another game co does and HTC is left holding the bag with a few hundred players logging on now and then  B} polish up a worn AH1, call it AH2 and hope more people start playing C} keep AH1 & AH2, and between the two of them they can support their salaries/equipment.

I just think it's a shame that there is HOW many millions of people in the US alone {not to mention over seas} and all we can get in the arena at any one given time is approx 5-600?

I would like to see 800-1000 players per Country, with direct and indirect roles in the game.
You could have not only "squads" but entire "groups" or whatever you wanna call them, comprised of Pilots, ground units, strat personel, resource management, commanders and such.
Anyone ever notice how mnay people play {not that I like the game personally} EverQuest or Dark Age of Camelot ?  It's like thousands and any given time. YES i know it's a differnt type of game, so dont start bustin' my chops, but the whole point is there is so much to do, roles to play, goals to achieve, consequences for your actions and so forth.
I will always play AH, not saying that HTC doesn't provide hours of enjoyment with some great people. But lets face it, the gaming world changes very rapidly and I would hate to see this one be another Air Warrior or Warbirds

68devil, i think the game you should try is planetside. i got to try it for a month for free and it is cool. massive air/land battles. it cost $13 a month to subscribe. i agree with moil's vision, that would be cool. but htc makes a nice small flight sim game with a few gv's. we will all see what the future has in store for our game.

Actually if I am not mistaking HT said in an interview that he eventually wants both Submarines and ground troops (Firt Person Style) in the game. Not sure if the interview is still on the net, maybe someone has a link?

So it's not unlikely that we will one day, hopefully quite soon, see the ground war expanded with player troops.

...it's a nice piece of hardware. Unfortunately the M1A1-2 wins my heart as the best slab of metal on two tracks.

After reading about one of those tanks getting bogged down and still dispatching three T72s while taking direct hits i nearly died laughing. The american tankers survived to tell the tale, the iraqis in this instance did not.

Nha, German steel will always win on the battlefield.
