The problem with being PC isnt that we might offend someone. its that we care too much if someone is offended.

Well the rest of the world does anyway.
While I dont intentionally go out of my way to offend people.
Dont ever kid yourself into thinking I care if someone is offended by something I say or do.
My suggestion to those offended... grow a thicker skin. And get offended over something worth being offended over.
Like world hunger and malnurished children.
Death is no easy answer
For those who wish to know
Ask those who have been before you
What fate the future holds
It ain't pretty

You're incorrect.  The average age of a FPS player is not a "pimple faced teen," it's closer to 27.  (The exact age is debateable, but just do some research on google.)

I'm sure there's going to be a toggle in your options menu so that you won't have to feel queasy, but personally, I think it's a nice touch.  Very immersive...  I wonder how many USAAF pilots had to stare through their own blood in order to land their plane.

Remember, that's not some demon's blood, nor an ogre's.  That may accurately represent what someone went through sixty years ago.

I wouldn't count on it.  In any case it is so divorced from the reality that the comparison is painful.

I don't mind it, but lets not kid ourselves but that this is a game.

I don’t care about the blood one way or another but by it just being their gives you the sense of an enclosed cockpit. AH has the feel of an open cockpit, as if there is no glass between you and the outside. IL2 “dirty” canopy glass gives you the feel of being in an enclosed cockpit.

Another thing that the blood shows is that if it is possible to do with pilot hits why not include oil spray with eng hits?

I am not sure what to think, if this "spray" feature is gonig to include oil from eng damage then great. If it just remain with blood spray then my opinion is "shrug".

I hope its somebody playing in photoshop and that htc didnt really waste programming time to add that "feature" (

HTC goal is to make the most realistic, immersive online sim.  Now good sims are fun and exciting while at the same time capturing the struggle, pain, and realism of war.

IMO the amount of blood is approriate, its not like anyones head is flying off here.

and remember, this is WAR!!! With people dying!!!! If flight sims showed half the stuff that really happened to pilots in their aircraft (notably in the b17s and bombers) it would be alot more disturbing than it is now.

same feature that would enable other effects like oil etc.  Let's take off all damage effects as well to not offend our sense of the warbirds' suffering too.
