Yes, they did vivisections on them. (Live Autopsies w/ no anesthesia)

"The First Heroes" kinda touches on it.  It is an in depth account of the "Doolittle Raiders".

"The Last Great Victory" does as well.

 Oh I know all about the atrocities, I had a page linked that talked about some done to a B29 crew at the end of the war, budy at work finds it hard to believe and I wanted to send it to him

First heroes was a pre-pub.  I get books roughly 6 mos before street date.  My brother works for a book distributor.

First Heroes is by Craig Nelson.  It is excellent.
