“Singin in the Rain”, “On the Town”, and “The Sound of Music” are all great musicals that I have watched at least a dozen times.

The best things about musicals are: The overacting, stupid dialogue, and everyone breaks out in a song every 5 minutes.  The dancing can be pretty cool too.

Watch Gene Kelly and Donald O’Connor in “Singin in the Rain”.  The song and dance numbers, “Make Em Laugh”, “Moses”, and “Singin in the Rain” are truly amazing.

Hark, as I am writing, I can hear my wife singing a song from “The Sound of Music” to my daughters.  (Not even knowing what I am doing or writing about.)

Life should be more like musicals, we should all break out into song and dance every five minutes.  :)

My mind is a raging torrent, flooded with rivulets of thought cascading into a waterfall of creative alternatives.
Stay thirsty my friends.

There's a real live PBY in "South Pacific".   No kidding.   Even a flying scene or two, complete with flak.      It's set in WWII, and one of the characters is a Catalina pilot.

My favorite is "Music Man" though.    Maybe cuz I feel a little Iowan at heart, or maybe I just like to laugh at em.    Lots of good tunes, very little sap.      Excellent cast of characters.

Never would've even heard of these had it not been for my wife.
