Stern took my music station away, he needs to be humped by a moose. I hope his 15 minutes ends soon.

I am not a stern fan.
But I am less of a fan of censorship of any kind.

I only started to listen the Stern about 2 yrs ago.  He is ripped off by many.

Sure people can easily dismiss this and ignore, but the stupidity in that, is you allow worse watermelon to happen.   A senator from Kansas called out Howard Stern and Howard Stern isn't even broadcast in Kansas.   Censorship is BS.  The tuning knob or button is just AS effective.

I want Stern to hop to Satellite radio so i can buy some cheap stock and watch go through the roof.

Keep on fighting Howard, you have the right.........so far

personally.... very little bothers me.  stupidity is much worse or CNN liberal pandering but...

free stations like radio and TV should have standards (censorship) that is pretty vanilla and reflects the majority of the poeple who might tune in.   sure, you can turn the dial but why should you be bombarded with it and never know what might show up on public media?

If you go to a movie it is rated and you pay to get in.   that is fine.  if you go to a night club you pay to get in and it could be anything and that is fine.   If you have cable TV you pay to watch and there should be no censorship and that is fine... Satalite radio is now making the shock jocks "freedom" excuse seem very lame.

We pay for the internet and there are programs to filter out offensive sites for children and the sensitive.   The "V" chip can work for TV I suppose but what about radio?  Why should you be bombarded with sterns fart jokes while surfing your radio?   I listen to him when he isn't whining too long and nothing he says offends me but... I could certainly live without him on the FREE airwaves if it offended other people or their children.

If I want adult entertainment I should probly be the one that has to go out of my way not the other way around... those who do not wish to hear or see or be bombarded by it should not have to walk on eggshells as they surf the TV or radio.

the real censorship in this country is political... Who cares if you can show a gay couple getting it on or howard explaining his bathroom habits or feeling up bimbos on his show?

When was the last time you seen a racial supremist give his views on TV or radio?   ****** is a word that is censored far more than the one for copulation.

The airwaves are free right?   if you don't like to hear about racism or sexism or whatever you can turn the dial right?

where is the outrage that you can't say ******?

That's an interesting article.  Howard Stern thinks his fines are enough to get the apathetic voters to take to the polls and vote out Bush.  He's been reading his own publicity.  I'm guessing voter turn-out will hover right around the same levels it has the last 3 elections.

Hes making a big mistake blaming Bush and the 'religious right' for his plight.  He is activly trying to sway the votes of his listeners, but I think he's misunderstanding the loyalty Bush voters feel for the man in office.

Point the finger where it belongs, at Janet, Bush has roughly ZERO to do with what Stern can say on the radio.

What I cant believe he didnt count on was half of his listeners being Republicans and 70% of that half being something other than completely stupid.

I agree with Laz 900% with exception of the vchip..  Vchip is the biggest pork based solution i have ever seen..

Vchip was a federal standard passed on to the manufacturers when if it was really demanded by the public the free market would have implemented it itself without federal mandate..

The manufacturers could easily implement a solution such as a code (3 digit key) for certain stations; that way you implement what frequencies are blocked...

My problem with vchip is that its forced upon the manufacturers who then force their costs of implementing it on me...

who is this vchip counsel? who makes the decisions what this standard or that standard is without my input..  what  happens is choice is taken away..  they choose what is legit they choose what is good for me.. (kind of like Marxintosh computers)

Want to know what my vchip is for my young family members...   hands over his eyes/ears and change the channel...

its called parenting..  its a sad state when you think goverment should parent your kids..

Its a sad state when you think HTC should parent your kids..  or DoctroYo or Lazs..  Only people who should be parenting your kids is you...

Lazs talks of White supremists I have no problems with that..  or black panthers/nation of islam croinies or these exiles in miami.. (until they say kill/maim doctoryo or my loved ones or any other citizen or guest of this country they can talk all the trash they want... its protected under the constitution of the USA. why not..)

Hell we got a program on every week on public televison called "Yahweh ben Yahweh" claiming hes the one and only chirst   Do i believe him? (change the channel...)

for a laugh :  http://www.rickross.com/groups/yahwehben.html

Dont mess with choice.. One persons obscene is another persons erotica..  who are you (or me or fcc) to decide for the rest of the country whats moral or not..  we are not divine enough to truely know the difference..

2 cents
