Fire Smoke and you see the tracer then smoke appears. The Aiming ladder remains visible.
Fire AP shells - tracer flies and the shell craters appear then the Aiming ladder disappears and when it reappears the shell craters disappear.
Fire HE and you won't see the shell craters or tracers but the Aiming ladder remains visible.
