Anyone here use at&t wireless as cell phone provider?

I'm getting ready to drop them for horrible service....

Whatever you do, if you are with them on a "one-rate" national plan - dont switch to the GPRS /mmode system....

I've had more dropped calls and no coverage, while having them say - "it's the same coverge as digital one-rate"

Also - I got a "unpaid bill notice" today for over $500.....I had recurring bill pay set up online...evidently that's not working...
but when I called to get my balance - the damn answering service says my balance is $0....


Now,  I can't log onto the site, and they have no record of my account.....

oh yeah - if one more punk-arse kid in customer service says... "uhhhhhh yeah dude...I think I can help.....hold on....." Heads are gonna roll......lol

Anyway - anyone that does alot of national travelling and has had good luck with a cell service provider - let me know - I'm looking to switch.

AT&T just sold off their wireless business to Cingular, so there will probably be plenty of problems for the next year as they merge their systems together.

I work for T-Mobile, so if you have any questions, ask away.  The call quality I've experience in Oregon with them has been better than I had with AT&T and not quite as good as when I had Sprint.  Unfortunately, Sprint's customer service was bellybutton . . . consistantly.  And in an attempt to make it even worse, they were starting to charge for certain calls to customer service in the last few months I had service with them - don't know if they've abandoned that stupid idea or not.  Never had any beefs with AT&T, they always seemed helpful, except for when I lowered my rate plan in the last month before I cancelled...they told me they couldn't tell me how many minutes I'd used on my plan.  Three different calls, all the same answer.  I thought that was strange.  I had Verizon a long time ago, so it wouldn't be fair to compare call quality, but they had a great coverage area...a friend still uses them and has no complaints.
Three Times One Minus One.  Dayum!

I've had them for almost 2 years, no real problems, other than a mix up with the bill and the location of my free calling area. (that was the fault of the sales girl at car-toys. she ended up fired and car-toys picked up the $500-600 in extra charges without an argument).

so I have no real complaints, but I may just have lower standards since my land-line has been through qwest for the last 16 years.

I had AT&T wireless in Pittsburgh...

It was a good deal IMO, Unfortunatley when I moved I was basically stuck with a phone I couldnt use for another year.

So then I went Cellular One, Compared to ATT its poop. But with Cellular One I can be anywhere in West Virginia and call anywhere in the state. And thats good because I'm in the Eastern Panhandle a lot.
There must also be a flyable computer available for Nefarious to do FSO. So he doesn't keep talking about it for eight and a half hours on Friday night!

Yeah, I signed up for auto-deduct and I'm still getting invoices to pay by check.  I guess I better check my bank balance and make sure I don't pay the same bill twice.

I like my phone - the free Nokia is pretty nice.  I haven't had any problems with service, but I'm on the regional plan and stay mostly in the city.

I've had an At&T wireless phone for almost 8 years now, always great service, and reception where ever I went. Never have had problems with my billing, or with exchanges or upgrades to my phone.

Hope it all works out bud..

use spint had no problems plus there are spint stores all over if you do have a problem or go to radio shack just my 2 cents BTW i have travelled extensivly across the us and deffinatly prefer sprint
Crap now I gotta redo my cool sig.....crap!!! I cant remeber how to do it all !!!!!
