I've seen this one up close and in person at the Sun-n-Fun fly-in in Lakeland, Florida.  The chrome effect of the high-polish metal is very eye-catching but leaves no doubt that its a showbird and not a warbird.  I'm used to the flatter natural finish on D-stangs.  

Just tell the guy - "I'd buy it but I don't like the color."

Afford gas for 10 years?  Maybe if I only flew it twice.

Those planes are costing $300-$500 per hour to fly (fuel cost only).  I couldn't even imagine how much it costs to get specialized instruction for one.

It may not be a war bird or airworthy but considering I'm 16 years old it's not a bad start. Look in the volunteers section for 'Jamie Everitt'. I know it's not airworthy but someones gotta look after the thing (and it's still fun to play with a nuclear bomber on a saturday).

Jus' remember that your B-52s would have been half way across the baltic sea by the time this babys making mushroom clouds over moscow.
