Born and Raised in Elgin here man.

While the tourist BBQ on the highway is ok, please do yourself a favor and go downtown to:

Crosstown Bar-B-Que
202 South Avenue Centre, Elgin, TX 78621
(512) 281-5594

This is the real deal.

When in Austin, eat some Tex Mex at Chuy's, ask for a swirl.....

I've been told that in Texas, the Beer is cheap, the women are easy and the ammo is free.

Sounds like a fun place to be :D

I just heard Boerne is pronounced "Bernie"?  LOL.. glad I heard this before I went.

My Uncle has a small ranch in Elgin. I will tell him to provide the sausage.

BTW - I'm smart AND good looking. :)

Oh sure. You're falling all over yourself to meet the FDB nancy boys like Sling and Fatty, but could you spare a few minutes of your time to visit me, Dago and Octavious as you drove through Minnesota and Wisconsin?

NO!

Where's the love, I tell ya?

there's a great BBQ in Austin... about 5 miles SW actually called "The Salt Lick"  incredible stuff.  If you pass a temple with a golden dome on the left, it's about 2 more miles down
