Arabs trying to influence the US election?
« on: March 23, 2004, 02:21:21 PM »
Something struck me as I was reading this article....

Could OPEC be trying to influence the U.S. Election in favor of Kerrry by artificially inflating the price of oil?

I mean, let's face it...ol' GWB is not to popular in the Middle East these days.

Should I break out my Tin foil hat now?

How much money is being funneled into the DNP HQ from that side of the world. Could they be the "foriegn leaders" endorsing Kerry?  :p

'lol' all you want Gadfly, but the US (Western) Oil Companies and OPEC don't sit on the same side of the fence. If they could, the oil companies would be buying the oil for peanuts and selling it with a unprecedented mark-up. OPEC protects the Gulf states from exploitation.

And if you don't think the Iraq war was a strategic move to secure future oil supply, there isn't much hope for you.

There were a ton of posters on this board (Left of center) saying it was "Blood for oil" a year ago if you remember.

The only thing that helps the economy in Crawford is the absence of drought.  I will assume you have never been anywhere around there?

Know it well. Hot, dry, lots of scorpions and armadillos.

wait a minute... that decribes all of Texas west of San Antonio.

Well, the difference is that there is a lot of oil scattered around west Texas, but there isn't any, or any business's involved with oil around Crawford.
