A long time ago - 25 years or more ago - a warbird pilot decided to stooge above our house, practicing his manoeuvers. I don't recall exactly what plane it was, but it was a WW2 fighter. Anyway he was quite low, and so we kids waved at him. And so he stooged some more. That really made our day.
One demo I would like to have seen but didn't was when a then chief test pilot took a brand new Typhoon for its maiden flight. He put it through its paces and asked the Tower how things looked. 'A bit tame', came the reply. So he put it - a brand new airframe, remember - through the full airshow sequence.
