It's funny, they're replacing the 'old' B-52 with a 'new' one from 1961. :D  These are tough birds!

008 had its flaps removed because of clearance issues when carrying the X-15.  I know they'll be installing an experiment pylon like 008 had, I wonder if they'll make the same flap modifications?

cept for the paint job it looks like a normal 52.  The "newer" one that they allready have is painted all white in the actual nasa sceme.

Another interesting anomoly ad dryden is they fly an F15 that also has elevators up front next to the intakes.  I talked to a guy over there and he said they came off an F18.

Like I said orriginally...its really cool seeing history being made first hand
