I dont know if it has been done before, but it would be nice to get some total scores for SqOps, some kind of results for the 3 frames, even in between the frames.

Otherwise SqOps is just like 3 Snapshots in a row...

Frame1
Allies Destroy the road convoy but fail to destroy the locomotive
Allies lose 7 aircraft

Axis Destroy the two hangers they were supposed to
Axis lose 14 aircraft

Allies destroy the hangars that they were supposed to

Axis mess up the town at a3 like they were supposed to

Looks like Axis achieved more objectives and lost less aircraft than Allies did .

question to the Axis:

were you guys confused with the feint I ran up from the North with 315 Sqn's P-51's ?

On another note, a very big to 9 GIAP Sqn !
101 Sqn was the Tempests that you bounced...
That was one hell of a fight, I have it all recorded.

ViFF, 4 planes (LLv34 in Doras) were sent to check it out, if you were coming from north, but we turned back quite soon. Then we went too much west though and missed the first enemies at A22.

We made some passes with 3 Temps, but both sides disengaged. All other LW had gone to attack by then and we refuelled and went after them. Met some Ponies (those same northern flashers?), 3 of us had to let go of our bombs but we killed the ponies.

Finally we proceeded to A73 which was said to have 2 soft hangars. No other LW were there anymore, but no Allies either. We de-acked the base and killed those 2 hangars with 1 bomb and some strafing. The damned ack got my engine and had to ditch on the rwy, others rtb'd.

It looked like Allies had another attack at A22 at the same time.

As the bases flashed in the north we got reports of many allied aircraft in the west, so we guessed that it was a diversion.

All aircraft were sent to intercept the western attack but they still slipped through due to their speed.

You guys caught my main force before the feint could do their work. I think it was the forward sweep of 109s & Ta152's that spotted us first. Good job for the sweeps who reported it...
Bad timing on my part, I should have held the main attack group a bit longer and further to the West so the feint up North would have a greater effect on the intelligence you get from the map.

315 Sqn (the Northern diversion) was just about to flash one of the northern bases when suddenly my group (in the main attack force coming in from direct West) sees 109s above us, and I think 56 Sqn reported seeing Doras.

At that point we knew our feint was useless, so I ordered them to sweep back to A73 (Axis primary target) and CAP there. As for the rest of the force, we decided that as long as we can keep our speed up, we will push on with the ground ordenance to the target and drop.

101 Sqn was discovered by 109's, shadowed by a couple of Ta152's, and then heavily engaged by a Doras from 9 GIAP Sqn.
If I'm not mistaken, both 56 & 332 Sqns made it to the target, dropped their bombs and faught their way out. With the P-51s of 332 Sqn getting badly mauled...

101 Sqn emerged victorious from the bounce with the Doras, and then joined 56 Sqn for an "encore" at A22.
