Ubisoft Announces Cancellation of new Combat flight simulation title:
'Pacific Fighters'
Oleg Maddox, the Maker of the Award-winning IL2 Series,
Disngages from the Pacific Theater

Paris, France - April 1, 2004 - Ubisoft, one of the world's largest video game publishers, today announced that its new flight combat title, Pacific Fighters, slated to launch this fall, has been cancelled. Citing an apparent lack of interest on the part of the flight sim community, as well as potential unacceptable delays in the production schedule, Ubisoft axed this project almost before it could get started.

Said Alain Corre, EMEA Managing Director at Ubisoft. "We wanted to offer flight-sims enthusiasts the opportunity to fight in memorable aerial battles over famous locations such as Midway and Iwo Jima, but the negative reaction from the public and Stockholder's concerns convinced us it was not worth the effort."

Maddox Games other flight sim project, Battle of Britain, is currently being reviewed for viability.
