I only heard from about 2/3 of the squads so if you did not bother to send in a request I figured you did not care about what side you were on. Everyone that requested Allied (and most did) that were Axis last time did get their choice of sides. That shows how important it is to request sides if it matters to you. Many that were Allied last time are now Axis. Sorry about that, but we need to keep things balanced and fair.

Generally I give the Axis 10 to 20 % more pilots because the turn out for the Axis side is usually less than the Allied side. In Eastern Front events the turnout is usually low over all, but I hope this will not be the case. Please make sure everyone has downloaded the terrain. It is a beauty.

I have not heard back from the Squad “Murder of Crows” and I will not activate them in Squad Operations till then.

Frame C.O.’s are as follows
Frame 1 Skull12 of the VMF 214 "Black Sheep" Axis VS 68Falcon of the 68th Lightning Lancers Allied

Frame 2 Nifty of the 332nd Flying Mongrels Axis VS AKIron of the Arabian Knights Allied

Frame 3 Radshak of the Gravediggers Axis VS Ghosthdancer of the Nightmares VMF-101 Allied

Orders for Frame 1 will go out to Skull12 and 68Falcon sometime this weekend.

That many people wanted to be the Russians?

That's a bit surprising. This was a crappy time for me to be away from the computer, since this is the first time in close to a year that the Yak-9 will be in Squad Ops, and I missed my shot to go Allied.

Did I mention that I have a Yak Squad? lol.

I was surpised too. I heard from 12 squads and all but 3 wanted to be Allied.

Oh! I wish I had know that Sik! I did not know we had a Yak Squad.

I am sorry about that. Timing was bad.

Umm how about for frames 2 and 3? I don't think it would kill the event to move your squad over. Lets see how Frame 1 goes. I always try to put squads in their favorite rides (that is squads that fly only one plane).

Also I still need to hear from a new squad that had not replied to my e-mail. If they do join then I can put them Axis and put your squad Allied.

Wow, not sure who sent that email. First off, my Friday commitment level is 11-15 and if Sik wants to switch, i'm all for it.

There is one person who used to be BBS representative for us. Hope he's not goofing with us. Changed password for SO sign up page.

Rgr. Right now their is not a way to change the # on the Events site. I wish there was. I go by what squads send in when they request a side. If they don't bother to send in a request I assume their numbers are unchanged. Good thing you changed the password.

Contact Sik if he does not respond here and I will see about switching you guys for frames 2 and 3.

Let me know what comes of that.

LOL I knew you and a couple others would have "REALLY" wanted to fly Russian, but it just worked out for us to be Axis twice in a row.

Next time we are in Finland or Eastern Front we will be Allied.

Just made the change on the site.

Sik your squad will be Allied for frames 2 and 3.
JB42 your squad will be Axis for frames 2 and 3.
