So, totally worth it.

Good job Nuke.

Couldn't have said it better myself.  This is so like waiting for a baby to be born.

Nuke, correct me if I'm wrong but that's a Heller 1/24 kit I sent right?  I know the scale I just can't remember what manufacturer it is, even though it sat in my closet for over 10 years.

Is there anything cooler than a large scale FW-190 model being constructed by a TRUE artist?

No big update, nothing exciting....just an update for anyone interested.

The fuselage is nearly joined and will require putty and sanding to eliminate gaps and lines. I have added seatbelts made from masking tape and some other minor details to the cockpit area.

It's all downhill from here

Is everything airbrushed, or do you hand paint some of it?

I hand paint the small parts. I also hand paint the "wash"  that highlights and builds contrast in many areas, like the exhaust pipes seen here.

I airbrushed the exhaust in aluminum for example, then ran a burnt umber oil wash over the pipes to make them seem heat faded.

Nuke, your work is amaizing, impressive, embarassing....

Hmm... i just realised that I have a couple of models i haven started yet and they have just been sitting in their box for 12-15 years.....maybe i should try one.

Any good site that shows you how to use spray stuff? I have never tried that and it looks tricky to get it right.
