here we go again...

Palestine was never a state or country. The area was designated "Palestine" on the map by the british as a geoghraphical description of the area only, and it was inhabited by both Jews and Arabs..... but mostly it was a waste-land where few people lived.

The Jews were originally kicked out of this area by the Romans a couple thousand years ago. The Jews are a distinct race of people that had their country there

The British "Palestinians" are actually Jew and Arab, but only the Jews had their country in that area and it was taken away from them.

Arab "Palestinians" are just that.....Arabs. There is no destincion betwee an Arab and what's come to be known as a "Palestinian"

From the beginning of history to this day, Israel-Judah-Judea has the only united, independent, sovereign nation-state that ever existed in "Palestine" west of the Jordan River. (In biblical times, Ammon, Moab and Edom as well as Israel had land east of the Jordan, but they disappeared in antiquity and no other nation took their place until the British invented Trans-Jordan in the 1920s.)

The Philistines were not Arabs nor even Semites, they were most closely related to the Greeks. They did not speak Arabic. They had no connection, ethnic, linguistic or historical with Arabia or Arabs. The name "Falastin" that Arabs today use for "Palestine" is not an Arabic name. It is the Arab pronunciation of the Greco-Roman "Palastina"; which is derived from the Peleshet, (root Pelesh) which was a general term meaning "dividers", "penetrators" or "invaders".  This referred to the Philistine's invasion and conquest of the coast from the sea.

The use of the term "Palestinian" for an Arab ethnic group is a modern political creation which has no basis in fact - and had never had any international or academic credibility before 1967.

for those that like a little perspective, this is a good read.

OMG!!  How could I forget about the Indians?!  BTW, that's considered racist the PC term is Native American. Yeah Indians.  Ya know what?  I'm part Indian.  I'm part Irish.  I'm part Jewish.  I'm American.  A lot of us that were born here trace their family lines back all over the Globe.  Can you say that about your country?  Probably not I'd guess.  heh I always get a kick outa people bringing up what happened to the Indians.

America has a short history compared to European countries. Yes, our ansestors did some pretty aweful things. But as a nation and as a whole we've always struggled to be better. The first country in history to do so and be successful at it. And we also don't have as many skeleton's in our closet ;)  How long did the inquisition last again? :aok <--hate that damn thing...   Oh yeah, what was the last thing your country did for the world?  How many Jews were killed over there again?  I think you're just mad because we stopped Hitler a bit to soon for your taste ;) :aok  <--- still hate that thing.

They will have their country after they stop murdering inocent civilians.   Ya think one or two of em would be smart enough to figure that out after all these years.  Hate sure is a powerful emotion.
