Gofaster, we'll try and keep a Yak9U warmed up for you if you can make it as a walkon ;)

I also remember the days when scenarios were booked up within hours rather than days. Still, as of now we have almost 100 players signed up, there's plenty of decent rides available still, and the concentrated map area relative to some scenarios should guarantee plenty of action.

To the guys who've not participated in one of these things before, the experience is very different from the MA, very tense and atmospheric.  If you've not at least tried a scenario yet, you might be missing out...

The Kurland web page has been updated to reflect the changes and tweaks that evolved from the side discussions.

This thing makes me worried about future of TOD :(

Really, how many virtual pilots in AH play the game as a ww2 fighter sim, not as a 3d arcanoid with wings and guns.

"This thing makes me worried about future of TOD"

I thought the very same.  TOD is the only reason I still lurk and post occasionally.
If there is a lack of interest from existing players in historical gameplay and those who prefered that have moved on then TOD could be a bit of a fizzle.
Will wait and see.  Perhaps HTC plans to offer a re-free trial to attract previous AH players when it comes out.....whenever it does (been no info on "TOD" for ages). and that may draw historical gameplay types back.

(sorry for the topic hijack/tangent)

p.s.  and if the MA has 400-600 people on every night then I don't think a lack of historical gamplay (or interest for it) is a major concern to the current demogrpahics (subscribers) or HTC.

The biggest reason I don't do AH scenarios is the 3pm est start time, it cuts my night shift sleeping in half.

(hate to say this part,  but its true)

The battle may be an interesting read, but flying short range aircraft with low ceilings vs high alt fighters with drop tanks may frustrate alot of people. I remember flying SpitVs vs FWA8s and D9s in the Africa scenario and it was a blast!  Its unfortuinate too many like to fly the uber plane set. Probably one of the reasons the Axis filled so quick.

Whys that? If I am wrong, how come the Axis filled like mad, even tho the La7 is the most flown aircraft in the MA because of the low alt fights there?

Again, I'm not saying I don't enjoy the challenge but no everyone does.

Naso is right, you are wrong. The map is 1 to 1 so the fuel mod will be close to if not at 1.

High alt fighters? Are saying Yak 9us and La5FNs cant handle a5 and a8s? This event will be fought on the deck where all the VVS aircraft shine anyway. A quick look at the performance charts will show you that. A quick ride in any of the planes will do the same

Uber plane set? A5s A8s F8s vs. Yak9us, La5FNs. You are totally misinformed.

The Axis side isn't full either.

What Afrika scenario had a8s and D9s vs. the spit 5? I know the answer, none. :)

I wouldn't have replied but just about every word in your post was obviously based on misinformation. I dont want that misinformation to go un-corrected.

I'm sorry, I didn't mean to offend anyone, most of all the creators of this scenario. I understand how much work you put into these events.

And yes, there was a scenario with SpitVs and FWA8s and D9s a LONG time ago. :)

I have participated in every scenario AH has had. I know there was no afrika scenario with A8s and D9s vs the spit 5. I have been around a long time. :)

BTW I am not offended as I said I was juts correcting some mis-conceptions in your previous post.
