HT is quite correct (like I would say anything else :D)  Whenever people complain about connection issues, the very first thing I do is log into the server and check to see how it is acting.
I log into the game and see if I see the same problems (we go over the Internet to get the servers just like everyone else).

I am going to log into the game tonight to check it out as well.

By the way, you are aware a new worm/virus was released to the Internet?  It has been on the news as well.  I believe it is a variant of the NetSky worm that caused quite a few problems just a few months ago.  This one is supposed to be worse.

Indeed they all did return to their rightful place. And despite all that lag they all managed to catch our bullets and fall ohh so splendedly in a firey ball into the brick wall we call water. Fun Night Tho:aok

I have a hard time beleiving that any of the problems we've been seeing are "MAP RELATED"...

The type of warping and spikes in varience I've seen while talking to Skuzzy tonight about it, only tells me that it is with the internet or my computer doing something in the background.

HiTech,
As far as you guys go (HTC Staff) This thread wasnt to "bash" you guys and your service which you provide to us. Every time I've called HTC, with a problem (which most often isnt with the Game even!) just a computer problem, you guys go above and beyond that of which you need to. Anyone saying otherwise is full of it.

Skuzzy comeing on line and talking to me in person about this problem is a perfect example of your obove and beyond service...

I get warps, but they are minor. I don't take the game that seriously to be that pissed off with a few warps here and there. I don't usually get them but if I do I dont go stomping my feet around because I missed a shot on a P51 and there goes my hit percentage.... HTC does a fine job at dealing with their customers and their suport is great. HTC I assume as been busy latly working out OZkansas bugs and AH2. I think they are doing a gread job Also I'm sure morpheus's warps and puter probs are far worse than I have ever expirienced so this is not directed toward you. You are excempt from this :D

Not fer me:(

Although, not to the severity of the night before. And Im not trying to be picky here.

I am waiting till the map changes to blame it on that.

And I dont even want to think about having a virus yet.

Don't these computer GEEKS have anything better to do than create uselss viruses:rolleyes:

And from what I read about it, its origin is China. Figures:mad:

I don't have any understanding as to how a map can cause warpiness.

That said, there seems to have been a lot of warpiness that coincides with the introduction of this map.

Of course that doesn't mean that map is the cause --- could be some other event that coincides with the introduction of the map, e.g., internet virus, etc.

As far as the map goes, I love it.  And if there's a little heartburn with the introduction of a new map, so be it.  It will be nice to have another map in the rotation.

Obviously, if this is a map related problem, it's something worth fixing.

I was just going to suggest that.
A wait and see attitude is the best move.
Personally I think its web related as i've been noticing some other  screwy lags, bumps hiccups and the like on my other webrelated activities also. which suggests to me its not just HTC
My guess is you are going to see these warps in the other maps as well

When somthing changes like a map and we start hearing about considerable lag change we go out and find out whats up. So exatly how long has this map been out?

HiTech

I think you need to read the post again.  I said when you experience problems that effect multiple people, it s the server.

However, since you think I am full of crap, I have compalained only about three maybe fouur things in here.  Your answer, when I got one, came in the form of a personal attack, and blamed everything from my computer to the French, to Iraq and the sun spots over Peru.  Never the game.  It is OK to have bugs as long you try to fix them.  Nothing is perfect.  Except VOX maby  (oups, my bad, thats my computers prob.  Sorry about that)
