OZKansas....my opinion....

Having only flown this new map for a few hours, I have to admit, I am really impressed.

Though there is a huge concentration of numbers in the center island, I've not had any trouble finding the kind of medium furballs I enjoy.

I took an F6F up to 15K last night and flew a sector patrol east of 110. I had a great time winging with 2 squadmates, and picking off bomb laden Bish as the came east to attack 133 (I think).

Another interesting point is the colors of the map. I actually lost sight of a Spit as he dove toward a mountain and virtually disappeared due to his camouflage.

Another point is the 10k base in the far east of knightland. It's a nice jump off point for bomber missions, and the wy the war was going last night, it would have beena  short 2-3 sector trip to bomb the nearest Bish base.

All in all, no complaints, altough it would be a little better if some of the pile-its who concentrate in the center spread out and provide more targets.

Out of a possible 10, I would give this map a 9 (preliminary rating as I've only logged a few hours)

and thanks Fester.

Aside from some fairly hellacious warping, this map is one of the most enabling arenas for nearly every kind of pilot.  Buff pilots can take off from rear area bases and climb with little or no threat.  Carrier pilots don't have far to go to find a fight.  GV battles everywhere.  Attack pilots can find plenty of targets.  Fighter pilots can find all of the furballs they could possibly want.  The scenery is a welcome change from the norm in the main arenas.  There are no serious bugs that myself or my squad have found.   All in all, a fine place for good 'ole Aces High (and low) action.
