Still waiting for a source to prove that the US gove more aid to New Zealand in the past 60 years than any other country, or were you lying?

Do your own research. Hint:  WW2.
Thrawn, you're so far left that I couldn't begin to understand you, even if you came w/ a handbook.  Skip trying to have a discussion w/ me, I'm not much interested in you.

Please, the US wasn't fighting the Japanese to "aid" New Zealand.  It was a situation of mutual benefit.

I'm sorry that you think only people on the left think statements should be back up by actual evidence.  Let me assure you that there are people on the right that believe so as well.

At what point does "mutual benefit" detract from "vital aid?"

Me and a fellow employee had some guys from Norway buy us drinks just because we were from the US.  We were at the Scotland Yard (resturant) in Tallinn, Estonia at the time.

They said it is about time someone went in there and did something in Iraq.  United States was the only country with guts enough to do it.  I was very shocked for I did not expect this at all.

Things that make you go "Hmmmmm".

:)
Rock:  Ya see that Ensign, lighting the cigarette?
Powell: Yes Rock.
Rock: Well that's where I got it, he's my son.
Powell: Really Rock, well I'd like to meet him.
Rock:  No ya wouldn't.

Steve,

Please remember we were heavily involved in WW2, Korea and Vietnam, pesonally I lost a cousin to the Vietnam conflict though he was Australian not a Kiwi. So your point of view must apply to Australia as well regarding aid.

As for aid I don't think we've received a cent since the early 80's when our  government put a ban on your Nuclear ships from visiting our harbours. Other then lumping heavy tariffs on anything we try to export to the US.

I guess it could apply to the Aussies as well Gixer, but we were discussing New Zealand.  I'm glad to have them both as allies... disappointed they are quick to not give us the benefit of the doubt after so many years of friendship.

Is it just me, or are most of the less-argumentive posts very odd? I think I'll just leave it at that.

I think we do and will continue to do so. Just that in the current climate America (Politcally) tends to alienate themselves just as much as we may of America.

Unfortunetly recent decisions haven't gone well, but it would take alot more to break up our long standing alliances then a few terroists.

Looks like a good series with the Maple Leafs, better than ours anyway.
