BTW Shane do you know of any modeling discussion forums? I've got a 1/48Hasegawa SBD 5 I've been working on for quite some time. My first attempt w/an airbrush. Right now though I could use some tips on dealing with canopy frames. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

as an interesting aside (learn something new everyday), I rec'd a fw190a8, so naturally i open the kit (AMT kit) and at first glance, i'm going... this is 1/48?? no way it seems kinda small...  

take it out and compare the lower full wing span against a pony i have on the workbench... hmm it's smaller... a fw smaller than the already small (for US iron) pony?? is that right?

do a little checking, damned if the fw wasn't smaller than the pony. had a shorter wingspan by about 3 feet and a shorter length by about the same. did some measuring and conversion and i guess the fw i got is more or less "right" in it's dimensions.

learn something new everyday.

i guess the "master race" was a bunch of runts.
