Damn, too bad didn't look at this before (Daddog's fault for not linking this until today on our squad BBS.  :p )  Midi came over from LA with his family and Saturday we hit the Naval Aviation Museum.  Woulda been cool if Grits met us out there.  :)

Anyways, let me know when you're coming down Reschke.  Aren't you the UAB fan/grad?  FSU is playing UAB again this year.  Dunno if I'll have an extra ticket or not, but if I do, you're welcome to have it.  :)

As for Grits, anytime you want to grab a beer, lemme know.

We have a couple of friends who live in Pensacola now and we are coming that way this summer. I have wanted to get back down there but haven't had a chance in a while.

Yes, I am both and a former player there so I will be coming down to the FSU game this year but I should have a couple of extra tickets of my own. I doubt my wife will want to make the trip down with our two boy's but you never know with her.

I guess I am closest to Sarge.

You gotta look way over to the right of the map.  About 800 miles east of South Carolina you will see a small dot.

Hey Betown! :)

Your sig says that you were in the 332nd Viking Squadron, which is no relation to our 332nd Flying Mongrels. Freudian slip, or were you a member of that squad, too?

BTW, when you coming back?

Well...
I joined the 332nd Flying Mongrels way back in the old Warbirds days. I was actualy one of the original members (Red Flight Leader back in the day) GA, who was/is the CO of 332nd Viking Squadron went out on a wing and decided to make a European contingent of the Mongrels. Effectivly, the 332nd Vikign Squadron and 332nd Flying Mongrels are sister squadrons (or at least they used to be)

When the Mongrels changed there flying hours to a more US based time. I went and joined the Viking Squadron as there "Trainer" effectivly. I darted in and out of Aces High at this time due to my lack of time and the dreaded women.

At this time I was also an AH trainer & a member of the events team for a short time too. I really enjoyed it, but I just didn't have the time to commit to the two. So I had to pack in the Events thing. Still trained for a while though :) Still enjoy going for a fly now and again. Although I am a little rusty.

Squadvid who flys for the vikings is my little brother... He's now actualy scary good as a pilot and he can even kick my ass. We winged up at the UK con last year and if my technical problems hadn't got in the way we would have gotten a whole lot further than we did on the 2 vs 2!

Anyway..
There is the story!
