While playing AHII, will we be able to see all custom skins on other planes or just the one the player is flying? IE if I have P-51D skin 2, can I see only other P-51s with skin 2 or can I see the skin that the other player is using?

yes,
online you can see skin choosen by the player ( one of them aproved by HTC for online use and downloaded to your PC by the game)

You will see whichever skin that person has chosen for their plane, another person with the same plane might choose another skin and you will see that one on theirs, and you might choose yet another skin for the same plane, which they will see on your plane. So basically it just got a whoooooole lot harder to ID what type of 190, 109, F4U someone is flying since there is the possibility of 15 different skins for each.

And if there are twenty of the same plane in the air around you, each of which has its own skin? Since you can only have fifteen skins on for a plane on your system, which five get another skin loaded? And which one? The default skin?

As I understand it, only 15 skins will be available for you to choose from in the hanger screen in AHII, so there will only be 15 possible to see, not 20 or more. Which one you see on a particular plane will be according to which one that pilot has chosen.

They are automatically downloaded by the AHII program while you are logged on. Other non-HTC approved skins, which you can use offline, are available from the AHII skins d/l page

then what you are saying grits is that we do not install the approved skins, like you do offline, HTC will download the only skins you can use.

And yes, skins will be submitted to HTC for approval. HTC will download the skins into AHII.

Thats right enemyace. You can have as many skins as you want, like Eskimo's Peace C47 and Richard Simmoms Lgay7, but only the skins approved by HTC, and d/l by the game will be able to be chosen from the hanger for use in the arena. Offline there is no limit to the amount or type of skins you can use, they just wont be one of the maximum of 15 skin options you can pick while online.

aww, you mean we can't specify a default skin for a specific plane on our front end that will overrule whatever other players choose?

Basically, I want a bright hot pink neon skin for all those N1K2 drivers no matter what cool looking skin they choose in the hangar.

I like it too. Some planes like the 109's, the 190's with radials, the F4U's, ect are going to get very hard to identify just by the skin, there will be too many to remember them all.
