Ohh crap,
That means your too close for real life beet.
I've flown over that in a Socata TB9 - took a detour when flying from Duchess County/Poughkeepsie back to Westchester. Can't remember anything special about it.
Well you did say your SA sucks.

Danbury doesn't get special till your on short final. It isn't overly difficult, but being surrounded by 7 to 800 foot hills makes it different from most airports where there are no obstacles on short final. The elevation is 450 feet, but the TPA is 1700 feet, because of the obstacles.
Runway 8 has the least obstructions, but still cant afford an ILS because the approach is greater than the 3% grade needed for an ILS.
Runway 17 doesn’t have any major obstacles on short final after you clear the hill where Wester CT University WCSU sits. It does have a nice view as you pass a 100 feet or so over the mall, it's parking lot light posts and road.
Runway 35, drops you on final between two tight hills on either side. I don't know the actual width, but they are at least 6-800 feet high. So you basically fly through a narrow trough with some interesting wind currents throughout.
Runway 26, has an 800 foot light pole in the direct path on short final, marking the hill it sits on. Once you pass over it, you drop about 600 feet on a very short final.
Takeoff on rw 8 sucks if it’s a hot day an you are close to max gross. You have to clear the 800 foot hill to get out of there.
Takeoff on 35 is nice because if you cant clear the WCSU hill, you can just bear left and follow the roadway till your high enough.
Takeoff on 17, is nice, blowing through the valley.
Takeoff on 26 is nice and easy as long as you stay on runway centerline for the first 800 feet.
Again, it's not overly difficult, but it has many pitfalls and potential dangers that make it a bit more challenging than the majority of airports where the surrounding area is flat and un-obscured.
To really understand DXR you have to land there, then do some crosswinds there. Then you will understand completely, if you can handle DXR the majority of airports will be a breez.
