Headset Reccomendations?
« on: May 30, 2004, 12:14:52 PM »
Hi everyone....

New puter coming with an ASUS K8V SE Deluxe motherboard on it!!

I have 8 USB slots on this puppy and was wondering about headsets.

Any suggestions.....I am looking at the Plantronics DSP500 right now or possibly the Plantronics 90.

Any thoughts?

Thanks!!!:)

The Sennheiser PC155 USB has worked great for me since I bought it. I got it right after they first started being shipped out by PC Mall (was the only place I could find that sold the new Sennheiser line.).

Newegg has them for $140 ( a little to much in my opinion) I paid considerably less through PC Mall even after shipping.

PC Mall has them for $89.99 (what I paid for them) but I opted for the two day shipping and paid just under $100 total.Sennheiser PC155 USB at PC Mall

Get the Audio .90. I've had it and its taken a serious beating and works fine. Never had a problem with squadies hearing me clearly.

Thanks for the inputs folks....

I have decided to go with the Plantronics DSP 500

It was cheaper than the Sennheiser and has a USB function that the 90 does not.

I need the USB functionality due to the system I am getting has no Mic input when running in surround sound mode (Asus K8v-SE Deluxe).

I think I may have to go with a USB mic as well when running off of the speakers and then having the ability to talk.

Take care:)
