If anyone reading this has installed the US Army sponsered sim called Americas Army I would like to ask if you bothered to read closely the EULA? There is a small paragraph contained in it that if you weren`t aware gives them permission to inspect EVERY square bit of data in you HD regardless of whether it pertains to the game or not.Apparently Big Brother is alive and well and living inside your computer if you have the game installed. They give no reason for the intrusion except to say that its basically the price your going to pay for the use of their "free" game.I guess what they meant by "free" was they are now free to snoop into whatever info you have stored on the system. They appear to have taken the art of data mining to a new height. If you don`t mind having every site, every e-mail, every IM, every program or anything else contained on your computers hard drive pawed through and picked over, inspected and diseminated to every government agency from most likely the FBI and (yes) the CIA then by all means go ahead and play it to your hearts content. But, if like me, you like to keep your private life PRIVATE I suggest you remove said game as soon as you can.Because I will bet you anything that if you have a pic of your old lady naked on there or anything else you would just as soon keep to yourself and your running tht game they are probably at this very minute downloading every scrap of data contained on your HD to one of their servers and they will have their own version of Americas Army checking it ALL out.
I guess this proves once again that nothing really comes for free, theres a price to pay for everything.
