No you are not the only one who sees this, they warp immeasurably. It's for real and it makes it really hard to fight them.

I notice it the worst with the japs, but that could be because they are the easiest to recognize.

sorry to dissappoint you Jaxxo and KJ714 and but you are jumping at shadows.

the ones you are getting killed by are very good, particularly if you come up against them in a niki.. I fly against them most nights.

It's doesn't have anything to do with their connection (in 99% of cases anyway, every location has the odd warpy guy).

To label/disparage all Japanese players in this way is  unfair and inappropriate.

Sorry, Redd, but I know what I've seen. I'm not trying to disparage anyone nor am I denying their skills. I'm just saying they always appear very warpy to me on my FE. Not their fault, it's the internet.

you are right - you were talking about warps , sorry.  there are players at times who  are warpy - likely sign of a bad connect.

Jaxxo is saying that lag is giving those players (japanese) an advantage over everyone else which is total bs

if he filmed these encounters he'd probably find that a well timed lead turn , by a plane travelling faster than he thought it was , is most likely the answer to his lag advantage theory.

Well, Redd, Jaxxo and I play US prime time all the time.

I'm sure he knows a well timed lead turn when he sees it.

What Jaxx and I are talking about is when a nme con pirouettes on your screen and "poof" disappears. We know warps when we see it.

Not even ack ack can do a lead turn like that.

It has happened to me several times trying to play ppl from jp.
It does make it very difficult to fight them, but I usually don't engage any opponent whom I know to be very warpy. If you don't experience this, then congratulations. Believe me, I like to fight everybody so I wish I could engage them.

I don't play in US prime time, but I meet these Puni guys quite often. I have never seen them done any impossible moves, and I haven't seen anybody provide any film to prove otherwise yet. All I have seen is these kind of BBS threads and some ranting in channels- but no films.

IMO these guys are good, work as a team, and have the experience to use Spits and N1K's to their fullest ( yancya13 has some 20,000 kills in N1K and in my hard experience is specialist in vertical lead turn and good shot - you don't want to get caught in front of his guns within 700 yards ).

If you keep getting failed delivery notices from email you never sent you almost undoubtedly have some kind of worm or trojan and should update your antivirus and run a full system scan

I can confirm that japanese players are very good and skilled pilots; its not fair to point at them all if you noticed someone of them warping.
More, some Japanese fighters (N1K2) have a flight model , in AH, that  allows them to do fine maneuvers, and if you put  them in skilled hands they can do wonderful things. Its a problem of the FM , not of people who fly that plane.

And BTW, .....I'm sure our japanese friends will greatly appreciate if you refer to them , more correctly, as Japanese  and not..... Japs.

You should not have too much trouble with lag if its not really bad..

lost packets is worse.

Much of the patent conflict WB/AH come from the fact that inserted in the packet is timestamped, and normal ( my guess less than 350ms) lag should not affect gameplay too much.

IEN claim it has the patent and AH claim different.

Only the gamecoders do know what impact it really has for their game depending on the implementation.
My ammo last for 6 Lancasters, or one Yak3.

I will believe what my eyes tell me. I dont have a problem fighting anyone in the game, alls Im saying is when I dogfight players from the Eastern hemisphere, not just Japan, I encounter seemingly odd FE characteristics. Puni squad has nothing to do with it. Its a geographical thing.

Ok just to add to this issue, I currently run my connection on 2-way satellite.  High throughput, but also High latency.  Normally when I connect to AH, my ping times are in the neighborhood of 700-1200ms.  If you play on cable you are probably in the 20-40ms range.  Let me tell you that this is not a fun way to play really.  I end up counting my hit sprites on planes, because 2 or 3 seconds after you see the sprites, the damage will be inflicted on the plane.  So if you don't quit shooting you will burn all of your ammo when you could've gotten the kill with much less.

I've only been told I was laggy once, and that was when the net was in a sad state due to lovegate or some other silly virus.  The last few times I've logged on however, the server has been terrible.  EVERYONE was lagging and jumping around the screen.  One of the problems of playing a game over the network is you have to put up with network lag.  Such is life I guess.  As far as the maneuvers, I don't know what to say... I saw YancYan13 or however you spell his handle, pull that N1k reverse on me and catch me as I was extending at over 400... I have to admit its one helluva move.  Not sure what to attribute it to, but that N1k is a great plane to fly, and very deadly.. with 900 cannon rounds should be a perked ride.  :aok

Anyways, have a good day all, and hope to see you up soon.

No, my computer does not have a virus. That's a result of the Mydoom or Blaster worm thats currently screwing evrything up.

The reason I get the returns is that someone else with my email addy in their book has the virus. The worm is sending out emails from their book using my addy.

It's the internet,  there are warps everywhere,  and the Japanese players cant do "impossible" things,  and i have fought against every one of them in the MA.  So quit worrying,  nobody is doing anything on purpose,  at least from what ive seen..
