8 way hat support is in the next release.
In the meantime you can get diagonal views by using Microsoft's Profiler 3.02 in the background and mapping them to the Numpad.
To get an up view, use AH's stick mapping utility (clipboard -> setup -> stick mapping -> views) and pick any of your stick's keys to map to Up View and then click "okay". Do it through AH rather than the MS Profiler because it will work more reliably for some reason.
Personally I have WEP on my stick, so I never had to remap the key. AH maps the stick independently of the keyboard so you can make changes to the keyboard settings and the stick still remembers the commands.
To save head positions go to the Key mapper and you will find it under "Save Head Position". Select an appropriate alternative and click "save key".
When inside the cockpit you can hold a given head position (back on the hat for instance) and then move relative head position by using the arrow keys and PGUP PGDWN. When you get it to a spot you like press the "Save Head Position" key that used to be F10 and now when you press the hat back it will default to that view, rather than the dead six view that it originally started with.
Beware that moving the head position around with Profiler running in the background basically causes it to go into fits if it is held too long. Disable the Profiler, hold your view by using the numpad to get your postion and then save them. When you rerun Profiler the new positions will still be stored.
Radio channels are as follows:
1: everyone in the arena
2: everyone in your country
3: everyone in the same "room" i.e. in a tower, for instance. If you are in flight it is only to other people in flight.
4: squad mates
5: gunners, etc. on plane. Basically an intercom for people in different positions of the same plane.
You can tune anyone on private.
100-199 and 200-299 have to do with common channels. One group can only be done with country members, the other can be tuned by everyone. I forget which is which.
Cheers,
200-299
