Naughty evil wicked Kanth.

Away with thee vile temptress!

It's just that kind of talk that pursuaded me to go FIVE times.  I tried dramamine...I tried 3 or 4 different medicine man, old wives tale remedy "...mines".  I even wore a patch behind my ear on one occasion which was supposed to balance my inner ear out.  I thanked very much the person who recommended that "cure" which resulted in about 6 or 7 hours of vomiting.

Nash is right.  The colour he is referring to is bile.  Starts out pretty yellow (once of course you have completely emptied your stomach of  food matter...orally) then darkens, sometimes a green hue, sometimes black, the more you puke.  There's no alcohol involved, nothing that can possibly make you feel better when you get similarly sick from booze.  You just simply squeeze the very essense out of your stomach's bile sac and empty the mess into the ocean through your mouth...over and over again.

My wife wants me to do a cruise with her.  I'm worried that I will pay alot of money to feel this way again.

Perhaps you can understand my aprehension now.  ;)

Some will fall in love with life and drink it from a fountain that is pouring like an avalanche coming down the mountain

Here is my next trip-Leaving on Thursday:

The first day, we will cross to Bimini and fish(green shading), and spend the evening in the Compleat angler, drinking rum and tossing rings. Day 2 we will cross the banks to the Tongue of the Ocean and Chub Cay. The banks are pretty shallow, 6-30 feet, so we will just run and not fish, though we will probably do some snokeling, if it is calm.

The rest of the time, we will fish the red shaded area, depending upon winds and seas. We fly out on a small private plane, the brothers and I, on Tuesday, and I am looking forward to that ride across the banks too.

We will be fishing for Marlin, but will probably also catch dolphin, wahoo, sail, and tuna. All we do is troll, dragging big plastics; 6 lines out, 4 on riggers, 2 flat with 2 strings of daisy-chained squid for teasers. I am packed and ready.

That aside, I have used it and it's worked for me fine on overnite trips.

I'm going to guess that since everyone's chemistry is different, it won't work for everyone. But it was great for me, like I wasn't on a continuously rocking boat with nothing but deisel smell, eggs and people horking up over the railing for 8 hours.

:D

Dramamine works fine, but it makes you sleep.  Why spend a couple grand to go sleep offshore?

Have been doing that since 1964 LizKing,  it's a lot of fun,  watch your limits they impound boats and Bahamian Jails are real third world stuff I'm told.   It's a shorter trip from Key Biscayne than from Lauderdale BTW. about 1-1/2 hours on our boat.

Yeah, I have a lot of time in the Bahamas. As an aside, my stupid little brother, while working on a 120 footer as divemaster/toymaster, caught some kind of reef fish for the on-board aquarium.  The port inspector noticed them and it cost the owner $30,000 Cash to get the boat off the island(French Martinque), so we are sensitive to the issue.

Pop lives in Lauderdale and docks his boat behind the house, that is why we leave from there.
