I haven't heard anybody mention one of the Kitty's best attributes yet.

It's DIVE!  Damn skippy will that little beast go earthward!  Sure, other planes can out run it, but they better have a good head start.

I find it to be the PERFECT CHog antidote.

Umm.. whats with those blue planes flying with wings 'folded'?
Almost any other plane goes wild spinning around axis due to torque when tips are folded off.
(I did once roll home in a C.205 by the ground when both wingtips were cut off - it was simply too tough to keep up due to torque spinnin it around slowly..)

The cockpit and 3d model are awesome - plus you can actually see the carrier when you try to land on it, unlike in the Corsair.

I like the Hellcat too..........have flown 2 Jug sorties, 2 in TBM's, and the rest have been in the little bird from the Grumman Ironworks.
My impression is that this is one SWEET plane.  She bleeds E real fast when you pull the nose up, but you can control her pretty well as long as you watch what you are doing.
Have only fought against Nikis 3 times....that is, 3 times when it came down to me against the other pilot.  2 wins, 1 loss, and that one because I was just plain stupid and let him get guns on me in a HO.........just plain stupid on my part.
Hope HT don't change a thing about it......it feels just right.
